March 24, 2010 – “There was never a dull moment, for indeed the comic nature of La cambiale was well projected thanks to a sparklingly energetic musical flow. The singers acquitted themselves very well… All singers were in good form be it solos, duets, trios, and those rapidly difficult patter sequences in ensembles. They all had their moments of glory, such as…the duets between the lovers and their trio with Slook; Fanny’s aria Come tacer…” Albert Storace, The Times of Malta

March 21, 2010 – “What I enjoyed was the practically all-Maltese cast of Cambiale putting such a fine tight-knit and above all balanced performance… Miriam Cauchi… pulled off this charming little farce with great style and some absolutely stunning singing” Kenneth Zammit Tabona, The Sunday Times of Malta

February 10, 2010 – “The four exquisite Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss have tended mainly to be domain of sopranos of the more dramatic type, even if not specifically meant for them. Miriam Cauchi’s more lyrical type proved well-suited to this apparent swan song of a cycle. The subtle intensity of the orchestral part, whether alone in the preludes and postludes, or in ensemble with the voice, created a blend which with the latter which conveyed the meaning of the text pretty admirably...The warmth and mellowness as well as the more powerful outpouring came forth naturally and with ease and no effort at all. The atmosphere of each song was projected very well, and the serenity therein far from being inspired by resignation seemed to be a temporary reflection in preparation for a journey beyond into another dimension.” Albert Storace, The Times of Malta
